"Self-confidence is very important. But without compassion and humility, it's just arrogance."

A Picture (or Video) is Worth 1000 Words

"I wrote the same, with different words." The Power of Words https://youtu.be/Hzgzim5m7oU. This is so incredibly powerful.  We as educators use so many words all day every day: to present content to students; to redirect behaviors; to communicate with parents, admins, and coworkers, to offer emotional support to friends.  How different would those interactions be if we used less words, but with more meaning?

I know Dr, H intended these videos to provide guidance to us in planning the pitch for our innovation plan, but I find myself thnking more of how to use these concepts in my life as a mother, educator, and friend.  I'm not suggesting I'm planning to create videos to communicate with the people in my life lol, but I'd like to maybe use words more effectively.

For example, in the Behavioral Science Guys video https://youtu.be/9ACi-D5DI6A, the subjects were more accepting of the anti-smoking message when presented as protecting the  kids, not themselves.  I wonder if school issues such as bullying could be addressed the same way?  We know that lecturing doesn't work.

Another random thought: maybe they should add marketing classes to an education degree program?
