I haven't watched this video in quite some time, but feeling pretty defeated today, I decided I needed a 'pep talk' from the master: Kid President. Tuesday nights are always rough, because after the course zooms, I always feel inadequate, behind, and exhausted. I ask myself "why did I choose this particular road less traveled?" The answer is elusive, but seems to involve not wanting to be ordinary. Wanting to do something noteworthy and admirable. And since climbing Mount Everest was out of the question, here we are. Anything that stretches you beyond where you're comfortable is going to hurt. Physical exercise proves that, but so does mental exercise. And boy have we been mentally working out in this program! But, just as your body feels good after a few weeks of regular exercise, so does the brain. My brain is starting to move beyond that initial pain and settle into a more healthy state. I'm glad I chose this road, and I know I will come out tougher on the other end.
